uvb problem.. best to place in or outside the cage?

so putting my uvb will do it on the right side and basking light on the far left side
wil do it :D? thats why i bought the bigger lamp from repti glow
the 5.0 one.. because of the vens he could get the uvb beems..
atleast thats what i thought :p?

@jurjen: i didn't read the entire thread but just a quick note ...

UVB is greatly blocked by glass....if you put the UVB light on top of your vent, then you will be blocking the vent.

I would recommend removing the glass at the top. The current setup you have is more similar to a dart frog vivarium and the humidity in that setup is actually a bit too high for our chameleons and can lead to health problems without some additional ventilation. I would recommend additional ventilation either by means of a cpu fan, or, even better, is to remove the glass top completely so you can use the UV and increase ventilation at same time :)

EDIT: 5.0 is the correct size you should be using; it is not the 'bigger' size (that would be 10.0)

After some consideration, I think that this would be your best bet:

ok ok ;) thx solid snake..
but left uvb dome shining down into my tank and the same on the right
with basking light shoudnt be a big problem to ??

its 70% atm should be good enough for a veiled or am i wrong
The humidity? I believe that is fine yes.

I have never used the CFL for UVB. That should be fine, but UVB and UVA close together will give the chameleon everything it needs while basking.

After thinking, Im not sure that picture is the best way:eek:

I dont have experience with a glass terrarium, or those bulbs, just trying to use my best judgment:eek:

With both lights on top, how much space do you have left?
Can you take a picture straight down?

thats a inside lamp conection that was in the middle when i bought it..
so i removed it to the right for in the middle my habba mister..
but when i putted the uvb light in it .. i even get blinded.. by the light..

Im not sure what kind of light it is, but you will need the UVB(that you already have) and you will also need a bulb for UVA(for heat) so you might think about removing the little light on the right, and adding in a regular incandescent household bulb, about 60-75watts in its place (on top of the cage).

if got a uvb lamp that is 26 wats repti glo 5.0 compact ..
but mabye if i get the 2.0 one.. mabye that one is.. not that bright and then i can just fit it inside of my cage... because the one the 5.0 is realy realy bright..
and for basking i got the 1 from zoomed 100w for on top ...
so??

5.0 is what the chameleon will NEED.
The 2.0 is not enough uvb for them.

Where are you going to put the 100w?
Have you checked to see how that will effect to inside temp?

100w is a lot, Im going to bet you have to go with a lower watt to keep it from getting to hot.

ok ... so then il try it inside.. then you saw the posts of other people in the
topic? that i posted in this thread?
umm when the lamp is on on top its like 10 cm's below where is a
wooden stick where he or she can sit on it its 29*

Bulbs and electricity should NOT be placed inside the cage!
Misting is going to short them out/make the explode and Im sure you can see the danger in that.
You are going to need more branches/vines anyhow IMO.

I have to go for a bit but Ill be back.
