UVB light?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to get 2, 24” HO T5 double bulb fixture with Arcadia 6% and day-light bulb for my parsons enclosure. I can’t find them in stock anywhere. Her enclosure is 6’x2’x3’. Anyone know where to get them?
(I don’t have her yet. Probably won’t be getting her for another week or two because of weather.)
I’m also going to be getting another mistking just for her enclosure and was wondering if I should include a zipdrip?
Thanks in advance!

Did you look on amazon for the dual fixtures? Vivosun makes a good one and it has individual reflectors so the 6% is what you would want.

From what I have seen the zip drips really do not make that much of a difference.

No I hadn’t looked at Amazon yet lol. Is this the right one?

Anyone know of something that will create water droplets like it’s raining that I can hook to the mistking?

Yep that is the one.

Mistking sells a rain nozzle. Here is a link to it on their site. Not sure if you can order direct from them. https://www.mistking.com/Adjustable-Rain-Nozzle.html

But it looks like it is just made up with tube, 4 T's and a nozzle that was taken down to the tip piece which you could make out of separate pieces if needed. . Josh's frogs sells pieces cheap. https://www.joshsfrogs.com/misting/mistking-misting-system-parts.html

Not getting a zipdrip might.

Personally, I can't see the point of a zipdrip. I don't have one, but my nozzles don't drip more than a few drops right when they shut off. The rest of the time they're fine.

Do you want the rain-maker for aesthetic reasons or functional (chameleon water fountain)?
Occasionally, one of my nozzles gets bumped, and sprays the ceiling. Afterward, it rains in there for a while. I don't let it go because of the lights; 'lectricity & water just don't mix. I have the same concern about the rain nozzle. If you decide to get one, please be careful.

If you're concerned about drinking, misting with live plants should provide all the drinking opportunities a cham should need.

I read that they need a lot of water and was thinking that the mist might not be quite enough. It’s enough for my panthers but I’m not sure about a parsons. I want to make sure she definitely gets/has enough water

I've not kept a Parson's, but I did read quite a bit when deciding on which species.
I understand you're lucky to be getting one; they're not as available as they used to be. (y)

Longer and/or more frequent mistings should do it, but there's no harm in adding a dripper, etc. Some have even given them soaks in the shower; IDK if that's still done or things have changed.

Judging from your join date, you've likely seen these threads on care of Parson's going back a few years, but in case you haven't:

Thank you guys. I did see the care threads and I appreciate you posting them and will be reviewing them again. I plan on putting her in the shower maybe a few times a week as I do with my panthers on occasion.

Is the Vivosun safe to use with the 6%? I read that they can get pretty hot and am wondering if there is a better dual light fixture that I could put a 6% UVB and 6500k led light in? The enclosure is also 2' deep and I read that the fixtures are pretty big?

The dual vivosun is safe to use with the 6% because it has separate reflectors. So your basking depending on UVI your looking for if it is a 3 UVI would be 8-9 inches below the fixture approximately. I want to say it is about 8 inches in depth. It should not get any hotter then running multiple T5 fixtures. I run 3 T5 and my basking sits at 80 degrees. But this is also in a full hybrid enclosure if your using screen it would be cooler.

Yes that’s what it is. I ordered one from Mistking and also made one myself. Works the same!
