I want to know if this link below will work for a uv source in that cage. That cage is 100 gallon size: 30"x16.5"x48"

It holds up to 16w and i believe it is 18inches. Will this fixture hold enough uv light for that cage? If not tell me what will work for that size cage.
Btw the cage will be for a 6month + male veiled.

Thanks:)

I actually really like that size Reptarium. I do use 24" Reptisun 10.0's due to the dark mesh. The fixture I use is the $9.00 Walmart 24" undercabinet fixture with the plastic cover removed.

Before i got Clea i was planning to get that cage BUT i heard a lot of complaints about how the uvb can burn the mesh. I heard a lot of people have a lot of success with it when they keep their chameleons outside. I think Lizardlover on here has something like that for his male Outsalet chameleon but it is used outside most of the time. I dont think it will do well inside,

AS for the UVB fixture, i guess it could work but i may be wrong

Are you saying this cage wont work? I'm getting it for a great deal.

I could simply raise the uvb up and heat lamp if its going to burn or anything.

No, the cage should be just fine. Go with the recommendations that Julirs gave about the lighting. Because of the darker mesh a 10.0 UVB would be better.

You don't want the UVB to be too far away. I've never had a problem with mine (8 years old!) except that it's a pain in the butt to unzip and it shakes the whole cage. Scares the crap outa the Cham. :)

Im sure its no more pain than my cage now. I have only one door to get into the intire cage. I had to get the climbing areas in then seal it with screening. I rather have a cage like that then this one.

Btw

Any plants like photos, hibiscus, or ficus that will fit in their? I want to have as much real plants as I can.

Give ideas?
