77FWhat temperature have you been incubating them at?
I was thinking of getting a terrarium. Which would be betterYou can see my bins here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/the-babies-are-one-month-old.40584/
Ok well I've been reading and most people who incubate at 78 hatch at 5 to 6 monthsThat's several degrees warmer than I ever keep them at and mine usually hatch at about 8 months.
Oh ok, is 77 to high. I read that any where above 80 is when they start dyingI should have explained further...the warmer they are kept the quicker they hatch (up to a point. If you incubate too warm or too cold they will die of course.)
do you mean the humidity, i'm not to sure what you mean.how moist is the medium?
She means how moist is the vermiculite, or whatever you are incubating the eggs in.do you mean the humidity, i'm not to sure what you mean.
Oh ok, I might try that on my next batch so that they come out stronger.I'm not sure what the cutoff temperature is. I've always done them around 72 or 74F. I started off at that temperature and it worked so I never changed it.
I go by the one drop rule, when I squeeze the vermiculite/perlite, I can feel a small amount of water come out into my handShe means how moist is the vermiculite, or whatever you are incubating the eggs in.
If they shrink will they shrivel up?Has any started to shrink?
Do have any picture examples.Has any started to shrink?
Ok thanks manView attachment 194599 I have my first clutch hatching out now and my eggs looked just like yours do two and a half months ago. I’m not an expert at all on this subject . Here’s a pic from two 1/2 months ago. It’s hard to tell in the photo but they looked like yours. Why they turned like that I have no idea but there hatching now at 7 months
