Upgrade help!!

Hello there! It’s been a while.

My little dude finally got to the point where he isn’t so little anymore. So I’ve finally decided in getting him a 2x2x4 cage!
I’m a little worried on how Randall will take the move, because they stress easily. Would there be a way to reduce his stress when he moves to a new cage? Please let me know!

On another note, with this new cage, I want there to be only real plants. I don’t want a hunting between fake and real ones. So do you guys have any ideas on how I should set it up and with what plants? I’m very interested in rubber trees and hibiscuses, I hear they are good for your Cham. Anything that will make him happy AND SAFE is good for me! Thank you!!

Hi there and welcome to the group. You can't really avoid them being stressed but you can minimize the amount of time but having the new enclosure ready for them. What kind of cham do you have. I would go with the 2x2x4 because it's standard. In regards to plants. Moneytrees are good along with Pothos. I think you should be good with the rubber tree. Anyway, post pics when you're done. :)

This would be a good husbandry program for you that covers the specifics your needing https://chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-husbandry-program-getting-started-with-chameleons/
Here is a set up of a 2x2x4 https://chameleonacademy.com/case-study-2-x-2-x-4-cage/

Here are Veiled safe plants https://chameleonacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Chameleon-Plants-122819.pdf

There is an adjustment period. Most will respond quite well to a properly set up larger enclosure.
