It was cleaning day for the chams so I took a few shots of Hugh hanging out on his cage door :D. I hadn't posted any pictures in a while and haven't been on the forums much since I have no computer but I snuck onto my brother in laws computer for a bit. :) If you'd like to check out his progression please take a look at these 2 threads that contain pictures of Hugh from the day I brought him home at 3 months of age up to now him being a bit over 10 months. :D https://www.chameleonforums.com/3-half-month-old-sambava-50694/ https://www.chameleonforums.com/sambava-panther-hugh-picture-thread-continued-55276/

Very cool.... I'm a fan :) ... thanks for sharing.... what's the background? Is it coco fiber?

Man Hugh has really grown. His colors are looking good !!

Thank you, my little man is growing up! :)

Thank you! The backround is actually brown postal paper, I got a roll of it at Dollar Tree for a buck so I used it to cover the backs of their cages and also used it for visual barrier. I like how natural it looks. :D

hes lookin good...im assuming you are back home with him now?

Yes I am! :D Fogot to update you all on that... My babies actually looked better than when I left so now I will feel a lot more comfortable about leaving my critters with my bf, hope I never have to leave them again!

looking good..and does he not get angry when he sees a mirror?

Nope! :D He has been in front of that mirror ever since I brought him home and never bothered him. BUT I am going to block it out of his view actually, I want to see if there would be a change in behavior if I took it away. We'll see :)

hes looking good, good to see you posting...
Thank you! It was about time. My camera has really been acting up and I lost my charging cord for my camcorder... :( Also, not to mention that I don't have a computer with internet access anymore. *sigh*

No matter how many Chams I see , in person or in pics im just allways fascinated every time.. Amazing colors...Incredible animals... Thanks for sharing the pics... And the brown postal paper looks good... Looked like Coco-Fiber roll that i've used in some of my dart frog vivs... Nice idea..

I feel the same everytime I see other Panthers... :D Thank you! I didn't know there were coconut husk fiber rolls, I just found the cheapest solution, lol! It was once smooth and pretty but with all of the misting it got all crinkly but it gives it a good look, thank you. :) Oh and I SO want some Dart Frogs, lol!

Hugh is a stud!

Thank you! :)

Yes.. Dart Frogs are amazing animals... and to me just as beautiful as Chams...the patterns and colors are phenomonal... Sometimes my wife will wake up early to wander out in to the house and find me with my hiking headlamp on staring in to the tank.. ( she thinks i'm a huge nerd) and theyre incredibly easy to keep.. I tell everyone they are by far the easiest animal i've ever had...

anyhow.. This is a pic of the coco fiber roll... It works really well in vivs, and plants will root to it.. .. not sure about Cham enclosures......

Woah, I need to get my hands on some of that! If anything it can just go behind the cage instead of inside. :D Thank you!

Hugh's looking gorgeous! He's a very handsome little man. Great photos of him. I love the sleeping picture. :)

You can order online... but I typically find all of my Viv materials or most at least at Hydroponics shops... Leca Balls, Coco fiber , the rolls etc.. etc.. :)

I'll have to browse the net and see what's up. I really like the idea and it would look great in all of my other tanks. I have LOTS of critters! Will have to check prices, if too pricey i'll stick to the brown paper, lol!

Yeah .. Prices arent too bad.. just gotta search a little... allthough.. I can tell ya right now .. I'm positive the brown paper is cheaper:D ... I ended up getting away from it and using the black handi foam covered in Coco fiber.. looks good in the vivs..
