So, my 11 month old veiled chameleon finally layed her eggs!!!! I have had many laying bins in there for her off and on but she never seemed to use them. This Sunday while the bin was not placed in her cage, I spotted her digging at the bottom so I immedietly threw together a small laying bin for her because I knew she was trying to lay. As soon as I put the tupperware in her cage, she started digging a tunnel. She finally finished digging her tunnel and perfecting it yesterday. When I came home that evening, I saw her re-filling her tunnel. She was refilling and perfecting her buried eggs until a couple minutes ago when she finally left the bin, so, after she was sitting on her branch for a little while, I carefully took the bin out of her cage and proceeded to dig and to count the eggs. Guys, i'm not sure if this is normal, but she layed 68 eggs. I thought that was insane how she kept them in her for such a long time. She is incredibly thin now and for the next days I'm planning on giving her heavy feedings with a lot of calcium supplement and tons of water.
