Update on Steve’s Passing

Now that its been a little bit I have had more time to process and I can explain more. The vet called after I made that post and he had received all his blood tests. His liver failure lead to gout which is both very rare considering his age (9 months old). And many of you guys were wondering how the vet new this was genetic. We would see him drink daily and he always had white urates until the day before he passed. The vet said that considering that our care was “spot on”, how fast it came on, and how young he was the vet is almost 100% positive that it was genetic. He said that it is very rare but since it was both of his parents first time breeding together it was very possible. We did let the breeder know. Thank you for all the nice comments. I really appreciate it:)

Sorry about the loss, once again.
It's good that you followed up on it though and good that you took the time to post it on the forum so we can all learn something from it. Thanks!
