unknown plant

I went to the nursery today to get a new plant for my cage. I tried home depot and they didnt have anything but a HUGE ficus that never would have fit. Anyways, I told the guy that I needed something that was non toxic for a chameleon to climb on. He gave me a sort of bush... I tried to read the reciept and all It said was europe and the price. It has yellow flowers blooming off it that sort of look like a small sun flower. I am trying to put a picture of it up but it is not loading due to it being to large. Anyways, does anyone have any idea what I am talking about and do you know if it is safe??? He said that it is non toxic, but I dont really trust him...

Thanks for any advice!

A picture would be nice...I'd really like to see what the flower looks like, probably be all we would need to help identify it.

I am not trying to be mean... but I won't ever count on anyone at home depot to have a single clue about what is or isn't safe for chams.

I agree totally, and not only that, but even if they actually knew what plants were nontoxic to humans, the same plants arent necessarily nontoxic to reptiles.

Ok... yes I get that.. that is why I am on here now trying to get someone to help me identify it to tell me if it is toxic to my cham... but I cant get a pic of it up. it is telling me my file is too large

You can open the file with 'Paint' on a windows machine and down size the image. Hit Ctrl-W and it will pop up a window for sizing.

ok see if that works

It looks like a variety of Coreopsis to me.
It's a seasonal (albeit perennial) garden plant which is not going to do terribly well in a chameleon enclosure regardless of whether it is safe or not.
Plant it in the garden and go get a schefflera or ficus.
