UK water question

Hi folks,
just wanted to ask what water do you use? Does anyone use tap water? It's drinkable, so can't be that bad. I buy purified water form a fish shop for my reptiles. However, after I install my Mistking I'm afraid I will need to buy it every other day and it would be rather annoying. I don't have a car and the container i well heavy. So I was thinking if I could use tap water with some conditioner perhaps? And use shop water only for drips. Or do I have to buy ridiculous amounts of purified water?

If the tap water is good for you to drink its good for your cham.

If you're worries, you could always boil the water in a large pot, and wait for it to cool. That will kill bacteria and some other harmful substances, although it will not remove everything. (For that you will need a purifier.. which can cost quite a bit). I'm not sure how much this might help chameleons though! Especially since you can drink your water... I personally wouldn't bother, as boiling THAT much can get annoying.

That being said, I use normal tapwater for my chameleon, but I might actually buy some of the bottled stuff for my mister when I get one, that way I won't have all the white spots on the glass... but if you don't have to worry about that, you could stick with tap water
