Ugh stupid mistake! Need ideas please!

I feel pretty dumb. I did a test trial with the wire shelf I'm using to see if he could climb up the poles. He awkwardly tried but couldn't hold on and didn't manage so I figured great no problem then. Now after I have everything set up in its place, he managed to climb up, reaching the lighting, wires, everything.... this needs fixed ASAP. I watched him continuously go back to the pole and do this. he figured out that if he bear hugs it he can pull himself up.

So please, I need an idea for keeping my cham off the pole

Little brat XD Once they know it's something they shouldn't do they want to do it over and over XD I wonder if putting up some sort of like plastic shower curtain just to where he could reach them would help deter him?

That is a tough one! What about some slick plastics on the poles? Other wise you will need to recess the cage in so he can't get in trouble. Let me know how it goes!

It amazes me how they manage to figure out how to get everywhere. Excellent problem solvers unfortunately. Do you mean put the shower curtain along the top, or on the pole?

You could put a disc shaped barrier at the top of each pole similar to the ones people use to keep squirrels out of bird feeders.

My first though is a pool noodle. Slot the side so you can slip it over the poles. No way it can bear hug around something as big in diameter as a swimming pool noodle.

Like the ideas, thing with a pool noodle, he might be able to just dig his claws in and climb. Something of that fashion might work though.

Pool noodle is the right diameter. How about large pvc pipe so there is no traction. You will have to cap the ends.

If you wrap the pool noodle is electrical tape it will make it slick.... you think there claw can get though that?
