They have a Veiled Chameleon in a 10x10x10 inch glass enclosure, only a nasty dirty water dish, completely DRY, horrible conditions, it'll die within a week. I'd buy it and sell it to you guys but it's 100 bucks and I don't have that or another enclosure at the moment.

Unfortunately if we buys those poor guys it shows a demand and they will replace every one sold with two more... I heard horror stories from Russian tortoise breeders that a few years back the demand for russians pushed petsmart to purchase EVERY SINGLE import... Completely sealing the market... I hate this company and though there may be some good people working store side, I hate commercialism with animals at their machine core... It sucks but to win the battle we have to not support them as much as we can:(

i doubt it would make a different but perhaps we could organize a mass flood of emails on chameleon/ reptile care and see if anything comes of it.

we could all kind of copy and paste one email and if we want to add our own notes do that.

idk. i know its a machine that will keep going, but its not entirely impossible to get them to make a few minor changes. its not going to really cost them more to make the most important changes, ya know?

There is a pet store in a mall nearby, Dallas folk will know it as Town East Mall but they have a pet store that has been sued, closed, moved, and filed against with ASPCA more times than I care to count. They have actually been shut down something stupid like 4 times but somehow keep coming back. They have actually been known to supply relaxants to their puppies so that they don't go insane. They supply relaxants or whatever they are I'm not sure but the rumor was they were somehow drugging animals including rabbits, guineas, puppies, kittens and other animals so that they could deal with the harsh conditions... I'm no pessimist but if THAT place can survive I shudder to imagine what Petsmart is capable of... If wishes and hopes could float a boat. /:

Heh, kinda suspicious if they took all the time to drug all the animals and pay for the relaxants. More than likely they are just cold, ignorant, and stubborn.
