two chameleons in one room

so i just got another chameleon and i think my current one noticed hi,. I now have 2 adult panthers and i picked up the new one last night and tried to make his cage out of sight from the other but my other chameleon has been tense today. He has been showing brighter colors and seems to kinda be on guard. do you think he will eventually calm down?

No. They cannot see each other at all. Place the cages next to each other with a visual barrier between the 2 - this can be as simple as a black garbage bag until you can get something more permanent. I buy sheets of corrugated plastic at Home Depot and zip tie them to the cages. Seeing the other male will continually stress your panther, and could lead to his death, so you'll want to change up your setups as soon as possible.

they cant see each other, i think its just that after they caught a quick glimpse of each other they have been on edge
