In about 3 weeks time I'll making a trip down to Salalah, Oman . I am hoping to find and study ch. Arabicus as not much is known about them. I am super excited already.

For those of you who don't know, ch. Arabicus naturally occurs only in the Middle east and it's gonna be so interesting to see chameleons in the wild.

Don't worry...i will take as many pics as i can, should i find one or maybe two.

I will be there for about 4 days or so and i think i'll have ample time to find one.

And a question for the experts... Do veileds occur in Salalah, Oman which is the Dhofar region???

Check out this link. It has 2 pics of the arabian chameleon.

Nice family you have there. That chameleon is cool, hope you find a bunch. Good thing it's not me, I might find one in my pocket when I got home. Have a great trip & yes we will need lots of pictures.

Good luck! There's a wadi there, called wadi Darbat, when I saw a couple chameleons. At the time I was there, I was too young to even take note of the species. But I do recall seeing chameleons!

Enjoy the road trip - it's long :p
