Hey guys I was checking the species data base for the keepers experience and I noticed that there are two different Rudis species listed so can some one tell me the difference between both due to the fact that I own " two sternfeldi chams" but some people call them Rudis I'm confuse and don't know what I have anymore lol 

I was under the assumption that sternfeldis ARE Rudis chameleons.

I did research just because my last name is Sternfeld. :D

I'm not surprised if I'm totally incorrect though. Don't just take my word for it.

Trioceros sternfeldi and Trioceros rudis are two different species but previously, T. sternfeldi was considered a subspecies of T. rudis (T. rudis sternfeldi). The result is that everyone calls T. sternfeldi "Rudis Chameleons", even though they are not, which adds a lot of confusion to what people have. True T. rudis, however, are not present in the captive market at the moment so you have T. sternfeldi.
