Tree monitors, monkey tailed skinks, leachie geckos…

No not yet. The family Varanidae is epic though. I aspire to have a rooms size enclosure (along with Calumma parsonii parsonii) to keep a breeding pair of Crocodile Monitors (Varanus salvadorii). Just a general life history Crocodile Monitors are longer than Komodo Dragons and are an arboreal species.

That would be awesome. I’ve never kept monitors, but I’d really like to. My thinking is to try and get an ackie or tree monitor sooner than later to learn monitor language a bit. Then maybe 10+ years from now, given the space, try to set up an Asian water monitor enclosure. Their intelligence is supposed to be almost mammal-like.
