Transportation - Moving from Spain to Romania with a chameleon

Hi guys! We have to move from Spain to Romania and I can't imagine leaving our chameleon here... We should manage transporting her somehow...
We planned to travel by car with all our stuff, incl. her 1,4 m high terrarium. My husband says we could leave her inside the terrarium and it'll be better for her if at least she stays at her place while traveling.

What advices could you give us? What about feeding, water, air, heet during traveling? Is there any way to keep her in good conditions during this route?

Thanks for any advices!
Henrietta

P.S. on the photo - drinking tea with Leila.

no no do not leave her int the terrarium there may be rough highwyas or what not that makes your chameleon be throw around in it´s cage. put her on a styrofoam box with a towel inside so she can have somethig to grab on.

how long is the trip?

I agree with the above poster, have a safe trip.

leedragon, it's pretty long - around 2 days .... was thinking about a flight with her, but then the terrarium has to be transported separately and to be in Bucharest before Leila arrives. It's hard to combine all that, plus if we send the terrarium in advance, where will she live the days before the flight? so total confusion.

2 days in a styrofoam box won´t harm her. jsu make sure to have her on her terrarium as soon as you can when you arrive at your new place.

I like leedragons idea. When you stop to rest put him back in the cage and feed and water him. Or at the least just water him. I don't think 2 days without food will be any kind of issue. They naturally go to sleep in the dark so hopefully he will just be sleeping a great deal of the trip. Check on him every now and then. Good luck with your travels.
