Training your cham?

I have seen these awesome videos of chams shooting off of peoples hands and even one picture of a cham shooting prey off of a kids tongue. I guess my question is, is this recommended and if so then is there a way to "train" them.

From what Ive seen, chams will eat from anywhere. If their hungry enough. They are little "cookie monsters". LOL. I dont think you have to train them to eat.

For sure there is no training involved.
My guy will shoot at food regardless of where it is. However sometimes he is a little skeptical until the insects start fidgeting. Then it's game on

There is a bit of "training" for shy chameleons. they need to be used to you, associate you with food, and be hungry. I also taught mine to eat from my hand by using a chopstick that had the thick end split slightly so that a cricket leg could be wedged between it. My veiled would only eat that way for a long time, but I slowly started to move my hand further and further up the chopstick so it was closer to the food item until I completely got rid of the chopstick. Now he's a pro at hand feeding :)

Mine hand feeds all the time! no training involved. Sometimies I cannot even get the worm where I want it and he is shooting it right out of my fingers!
