toungue problem

i used the reptisun 10.0 compact uv bulb untill i saw they were bad and toswich it out with the one i mentioned first its a tube light but i plan on getting a florescent fixture with a reptisun bulb

Sorry, your english isn't very clear. What is the UVB bulb you are using? Compact or tube? Reptisun or sunglo?

If you press enter on the keyboard twice you can line break between your statements. This makes the formatting much easier to read. Good forum etiquette for your fellow readers.

Doesn't it have oxalates?

Yes. though to be fair, lots of things do. Its just that Broccoli has more than its fair share. Worse, Broccoli is also high in goitrogens.

Oxalates bind with calcium, decreasing its absorption. Oxalate is one of a number of things that can contribute to gout and kidney stones.

Brocolli is high in goitrogens which can bind to iodine and thus lead to hypothyrodism.

or so I've read.

i had a repti-glo10.0 compact bulb on at first but i found out they were bad and other people on these forums said to swich it out with a sun glo tube light and thats what i did.
i only dust twice a week with the calcium w/d3 like said by the person i bought the chameleon from said thats all i needed but he was wrong so im wating for some other vitamins from sticky toungue farms in the mail

The advise to ditch the CFL was good. Much better safe than sorry.

Im not familiar with the sun glo bulb you refer to. THe most commonly suggested UVB light is a Repti-Sun 5.0 linear tube. Some people use ReptiGLO tubes.

Calcium without D3 should be lightly dusted on every cricket. Crickets are a very poor source of calcium, high phosphorous. I use calcium with D3 only every other week. And a vitamin supplement ever other week (opposite to the D3 week). Its also advisable to use a good gutload.
