this has been happening the last 3-4 months or so. sometimes my chameleon will eat. he will stick his tongue out and it will be nice and pink. (again ive only seen this happen 3 times since i got him, which was about 8 months ago)
but anyway, his tongue will come out, nice and pink, and then, it will start. he will open his mouth very wide and lean his head forward in a very fast motion, almost like he is choking on something. and then when he tries to eat, his tongue comes out blood red, not even looking like a cham tongue. his tongue comes out very thin, looks like less than a cm in diameter, blood red.
then he does the choking like motion again, and then sticks out his whole tongue with his mouth open wide, not like when he is eating something. (when there mouth is cloesed and there tongue comes out very quickly)
and then, minutes later, his tongue looks normal again and he is fine.
i am not TOO worried, but ive done tons of reserch and found NOTHING.
i dont know if all chams are like this, or just mine. PLEASE HELP!
