to many plants???

Looking really good! Just had a thought though, what kind of dirt is the pothos in? If it has the little white foamy things (vermiculite) then it, too can be deadly. Easier to fix tho! Just put rocks that your guy won't be able to pick up over the dirt so he can't get to it. :)

And, instead of replacing the door, how would you feel about designing a screened top section that would sit on top of the glass box. I thought that would be cool if the cage would grow up with the cham. But, i'm lazy and just went and bought a bigger exo-terra viv! LOL. And phooey, if it seemed stuffy in the viv, I just opened the doors some. Neither one of my chams ever tried getting out and no other critters or kids to worry about getting in, sooo... Just throwing ideas out there?

he really likes it with the substrate out of the tank, he is scaling everything and eating the "ghost crickets" as my son calls them lol. i couldnt find the rocks so i used clear and blue plastic diamond things haha.

As long as whatever you use as cover is big enough so they can't get it into their mouths.

When Twister went to the vet the first time (general checkup) the vet said it looked like mostly dirt or sand and food in his gut but there was a questionable spot or two. After discussing the dirt/sand eating behavior vet told me that the vermiculite can stay inside and build up and block their guts.

Three months later, after Twist was sick awhile and finally took a poop again. Lo and behold, two little pieces of the vermiculite were in the poop!

Thank goodness he passed it and didn't end up needing surgery for being impacted. He had enough issues without that too. So, after that, I try to warn people to either re-pot their plants with good clean dirt (best option) or to at least cover the old dirt.

yes that's a big forehead wipe"WOOOO"

Is that really true that you can't have too many plants? My Cham (Jackson's female) was looking unhappy the past few mornings. One of her plants had grown to where it was blocking her favorite place to hang on the screen and look out the window, so I took it out and did some rearranging. No more unhappy colors, but is it TOO empty?
