i have my 6 month old ambilobe male in a 24x24x48 aqarium should i switch him to a smaller aqarium until he is bigger? kinda been having trouble finding his food.

Do you really mean aquarium or are you using a screen cage? If you have a smaller one I would use something like an 18x18x30 for the little guy. He is a bit small for that big of a cage. I only use the 24x24x48 for adult males, but that's just me. I suppose he will get used to finding food if you don't rehouse him.

I have had my panther in a 2x2x4 screen cage since he was 4 1/2 months old. In the beginning I didnt overdo the plants. I did do cup feeding so he did know where to find it. hope this helps

sorry yeas i do mean i screen enclousure of course in a repti breeze. how did you position your cup i tried putting one against the side with pull ties and a branch leading towards it should i maybe put it in the tree instead?

I have since had to make a new milk jug that I didnt cut out as much because adult crickets started to climb out but you get the idea. I used floral wire to secure it to the screen. I hope this helps:)

the screen mesh in there is the sheets you get at home depot for sanding drywall, i didnt want to use metal screen because the edges can be sharp and you dont want your chams tongue getting stuck on it as he shoots for crix or roaches

nice idea with the screen on the back...only one question though. you take the rear legs off the crickets or do they tend to stay long enough to be eaten?

Why on good earth would I want to do that:rolleyes: I may get 1 or 2 every once in awhile that jump out when I dump them in from the cup that I use but for the most part they seem to be content with their fate :D:D:D:D
