Time for larger cage??

I am having a bit of difficulty locating resources on when is the best time to put my Panther in a larger enclosure. He is cup feeding, about 4.5 months old and is currently in a 18x12x20 enclosure. I have his 24X24X48 enclosure ready and waiting but I do not want to move him if it is too soon.

I have been told to move him at 9 months but he seems so big in that little cage. Is there a consensus based on size in inches or age to when they should be placed in an adult enclosure?

Here are some pictures:

He looks big enough to move to his adult enclosure. If he starts having dificulties finding his food you may have to partition off a portion of the cage.

I went ahead and moved him to his new enclosure and he seems very happy in there. He has already located a new place to sleep and now I just have to watch him to make sure he eats.

Here is is new casa:

The CFL that is on the top is just for light for the plants and is a standard house bulb with a 6500K output.
