I am not a giant fan of the brooms to tell you the truth. . . I am going to let the vines take hold and I am also going to see if I can get some java moss to grow on it.
This is such a neat project! I'd love one of these babies. If you add a small screen section under the door you could sell these for reptiles too. Well you can anyways, but I hope you get what I mean
Very nice indeed, Chad! I also purchased the kit you first referred to, and found it very disappointing.
I took the easy way out and took my 10 and 20 gallon breeder tanks and transformed them. I had 3" pieces of plexiglass cut, sanded down the edges and installed them in the very front bottom to hold in the drainage clay balls and soil. Stood them on their sides and heavily planted them. Although with my way, I always have to be very careful not to let my day geckos out when I slide the screen back to feed. Also, I had to use plyboard to rig up a dome light to hang down in front of the screen. It works, but you can't see through the screen front unless you are right up on it, thus, it isn't near as pretty as yours!! Keep up the great work as I can assure you there are a lot of folks out there that will love this new tank, especially frog and gecko keepers!
That project has slowed down greatly since we have been moving and what not. However I do have some extras that I made up around here. Send me an email with what size you are looking for.
Are you still in town right now (not in CA for the show)? I emailed you today about your pygmys if you are still here. My husband wants something for his car so I can take pygmys. Possibly your whole group... email me!
