I used to do it here in SoCal... Some species wouldn't be able to handle it ...If it is a Rudis as Brad mentioned, then you would have to keep him inside for the summer. I kept Veileds outside... and they seemed to like it... But the issue I had was nightime lows. It would be 90 in the day, then 59 at night. I had to put some CHE's on thermostats out there to kick the heat on once it got too chilly at night, even in the summer. I was a pian in the butt and is kind of a risk if you ask me... When I had mine outside a few times I had to run home from work when I saw the temp outside was ready to pass 100'... that is just simply too hot for Chams, It became a pain keeping an eye on the weather to make sure they were okay. I recommend keeping a nice indoor setup... then have a cage outside to let him kick it in when the weather permits.
