Thinking of getting a veiled chameleon

I'm thinking of getting a baby veiled chameleon. I've never had any type of chameleon before, but I have and have had:

1 golden gecko
2 oriental fire-bellied toads
1 White's tree frog
......several other frogs and toads

Do I have enough experience? I've done a lot of research on veileds. I understand they require a lot of work and supplies. Thanks.
:)

I'm thinking of getting a baby veiled chameleon... Do I have enough experience?...
Howdy Piper,

I almost feel safe saying: "No experience necessary". I feel success with a >3 month-old male Veiled is more of a matter of dedication, time and money than experience with reptiles . That being said, your experience gives you a leg-up on the process. This is especialy true if you front-load your knowledge base by reading through the suggested links and then ask all of the "dumb questions" before you acquire your chameleon . Don't jump too fast into acquiring your Veiled and be sure that you have your setup completed and tested before he comes home.

What part of the world are you located?

I live in West Texas. The summers are very hot (90's all summer) and winters are really cold (40's and below usually).

everyone starts out with no experience but here is the perfect place to start....It's where I learned everything I know now about chameleons...:p
3 weeks of non stop reading and well my (female veiled) pickle is still alive...

I'm okay with saying, "no experience necessary." I only had experience with kids, dogs, and cats previous to my two veiled, and just like many others, I'm doing well.
