I was told at petsmart by the "herp specialist " that the veiled I bought was about 3mo old and was a female. She claimed to own chameleons and breed them and gave me all the correct info on husbandry but I had already done research:) well right now my veiled should be around 5 months, the more I look at her I think its a male by the casque and little bumps on her back feet. If she wasn't absolutely terrified of a camera I would take a picture but its the tiniest bump and since this is my first cham I have no idea. I was wondering if the female had anything on the back feet and I'm pretty sure the female has a smaller more rounded casque. Could anyone tell if I just got a picture of her full body?

Yes, we could tel you :)
Females should have no spur bumps on the heels of their back feet. Also, by now we can probably tell just by looking at her shape and colors.

Females have flat back feet.

No bump= girl.

Males have taller casques, female shorter and rounder.

get a pic, and ill see if i can tell.

Everytime I bring up my phone she shrinks as if she's ready to run so I can't really get the feet:( thanks for trying though:) would you say she's about 5 months she can get pretty puffed up? And wouldn't a male have more yellow? When she is fired up she is a very light and dark green bars.

Id say 4 inches to vent? There us only one vent I could think of lol. And no she def doesn't look like that. I'm starting to think otherwise now.

she could be about 4-6 months old.

If she hsa no yellow barring, then its most likely a female.

my pic is of my big adult male.

Completely off topic, but I really like the plant in the 1st pic, what is it?? Also male/female your Cham looks lovely! I'd love a yeman!!!!

It is just a pothos plant. And thank you she is cute with a bit of a tood lol. Yea she is around 5 months and is like a stick I just can't fatten her up. An.I'm pretty sure she is a female now cause of no yellow.
