My Cham has become like a new boyfriend slowwwly moving into my house. He used to just have his little area with his cage. But over time he now owns my night stand (which used to house my perfume, lotion, beauty supplies, ect.). Now it is filled with Calcium, Vitamins, Cricket Bins, Tweasers, Reptisafe, blah, blah, and blah. Now he also owns a compartment in the fridge. It's filled with worms and things for the crickets. I'm still in shock that my mother is okay with that. Lol. She also knows not to eat/throw away any vegetables or fruit without consulting with me first. I have an entire corner of my room stacked to the ceiling with unused/unopened reptile supplies. This is all goes without mention the basement with a 10 gallon tank for cleaning day, 2,000 crickets in a bin, and non-toxic cleaning supplies. My house has been taken over by an animal not even as big as my hand.
I now only allow 1 of my 4 dogs into my room, and that's after Bodhi is asleep. I have to admit.. I haven't been able to give up the scented candles. I have a Yankee candle addiction. It's definitely not an every day thing though. I don't use any harmful cleaning chemicals in my room anymore. I use a swiffer to dust. I have yet to convince my family to stop using the horrible floor cleaner. It really worries me, because I've heard it can kill Chameleons. It's that oily pine smell. I can still smell it a week later. How exactly is dusting/floor spray harmful to them? I know it's harsh. I would like to win this argument I'm about to start with my family. Anything for my Bodhi Bug's health.
Oh.. what we do for our Chameleons.
