i have a giant spiny chameleon (furcifer verrucosus) or something like that... anyways i have a big free range set up in my living room with vines attached to four different plants. i have two ficus trees, but i find that the trees are very flimsy, and im wondering what would be a better option of tree, that has a thicker stock branches, and just a more solid tree in general.... my cham will grow pretty big, and i dont want him in there little weak trees.
thanks

the umbrella tree grows a pretty sturdy trunk and as it gets larger the stocks of the leaves gets sturdier too. you could check that out and see if it might work for what your looking to do :)

Why not just use thick branches from outside and use the plants purely as plant cover? This is what I've done in all my cages, especially with my Meller's, and it works better than any plant you can buy for under $50. Plus it's free!

Second that. As all plants indoor are close to bonsais, we need some sturdy support. I have hybrid solutions for my setups too. With Ficus I usually weave the trunks when they are younger. Then trim the top branches more regular. The trunk tends to expand when the top branches are clipped. Eventually the weaving trunks merge.
