They are so tiny (and there are so many that I don't want to open the cage to get a proper picture) but my praying mantises hatched!!! My veiled has been fascinated watching them, but I haven't caught him eating one yet. Getting the pod was merely an attempt at keeping up with the variation in diet.
When they get too big for him, I will be relocating them to my deck to handle the wasp population that keeps me from spending time on my deck (approved in the environment system thing to not be a threat as an invasive species! They sell these pods at all the garden centres in my area!) I wasn't sure if it was actually a thing or I wasted $20, but they hatched!! I could watch these babies for hours!! So excited!!
