There be wee ones....

I just checked my veiled chameleon eggs as today was the one year anniversary and behold I have three already hatched....Yoohoo!

Now, I did not thing these were going to hatch so I did not prep. I need some advice quickly as to what to do. Can someone email me a link with what to do or call me on my AT&T cell at 720-346-4301.

They did! Temperatures incubated at about 70 degrees F (low) and 72 degrees (high). There were three days back in November that it got down to 50 degrees in our house when the furnace died. I honestly thought the eggs were dead and had planned to trash them. They had turned yellowish about thirty days ago and I thought for sure all was a loss. On top of that they got jarred pretty hard when my daughter almost dropped the entire container. So I must say that these little guys are tough. THanks for the links by the way.

OK, it will be tomorrow morning before I can get photos of them up. I am too worried to deal with the photos right now. Just trying to be a good parent I do have a question...I am trying to get the temps up. What temps should they stay at night? The current temperature is 72 degrees. two are on branches and one is on the bottom. I have a moist paper towel on the botton of the aquarium. I have a heater pad under the tank to warm from the bottom and a 5.0 Reptisun bulb on. Should I turn the light off?

Day two...

So I now have four...I am amazed at how small and fragile-looking these little ones are. They sleep a little then move, sleep a little more, then move. Some still have the little yolk sak attached. Eyes open every now and then.
Temperatures and humidity are up (87 degrees F and 40 percent humidity. I am misting three times per day.

So when do these little guys eat? I have fruit flies by the gajillion. Any suggestions? They are drinking as I have seen them open there little mouths and lick...at least two of them. The youngest ones are still somewhat learning to climb.

I will say it again...I am amazed. It is a miracle that these little buggers survive in the wild.
