The best way to spend $5...

And we tip them too Benny!

It was nice when I went to Sweden..didn't tip a single person the whole time. It's just not expected.

Bet it would make there day if you did tip them though :p

- I just seen a new commercial for a 5$ sale at arby's... burger fries, drink or something like that for 5$ that would be a easy 5$ to spend :p

Let me see... the only times I see myself spending 5$ is for a shirt at the swap meet, pitching in for the pizza 5-5-5 deals. Or tipping the bar tender for a longterm benefit.

Actually the one time I tried I got a WTH? is this look. LMAO

You would probably get that here too mate, tipping is not generally a part of our culture
but at the same time , we say 'keep the change' alot (unless your a real tightwad) so its essentially the same thing. But we dont have an issue with thanking people for their service without using money (vocally) either! People here wouldnt see 'tipping' in quite the same way, A waitress here for example, if you left a $5 tip, would likely say 'wow, arnt you a big spender mate' and roll her eyes feeling insulted.
But we have gov regulated 'award wages' for various services and professions, relative to the cost of living here, we dont pay peanuts wages to adults in any genuine job. :)

Over here, a freindly smile and 'Thanks mate/Thankyou' ,are appreciated and considered the same way, but without that, a 'tip' no matter how big wont mean much.
