terrarium or vivarium for veiled

i am going to be getting a male veiled chameleon and i was not sure if i should keep him in a vivarium or a terrarium. also what wattage lights do they need uv and basking.

There are lots of resources on the forum that can answer these questions. Do some reading under "resources" and use the search function and then come back with specific questions you don't find answers for. Depending on where you live and what your climate and house are like, either one may work, but it also depends on your particular definition of "vivarium" or "terrarium". Most people in the USA use screened cages. There is an excellent article "Raising Kitty the Veiled Chameleon" that can answer a lot of this.
 
Isnt a vivarium just a terrarium with animals? Adult veileds should be housed in a screen cage, babys and juvies are sometimes kept in glass.
 
According to wikipedia, a vivarium is an enclosed area for keeping and raising animals or plants for observation or research with a terrarium being a type of vivarium which simulates a dry habitat as opposed to one that incorporates aquatic elements.
