HI everyone, I have a 9 mon panther in my old veil cage. . How warm should it be? Right now the basking is 88 and the bottom and middle is 71=73. I think it too cold. see he came from a pet store with no air condition, and now he in central air. Could this be a problem . He's moving up but not down to bottom. and he been in there only 2 weeks. Help. My so worried he to cold. any advice will help.

Sounds good to me , when he get a little older increase his basking spot temp make sure you keep up with humidity as well, panthers are tolerant to humidity swings but donyour best to keep them at a comfortable level as well

These are the recommended temps from the care sheet link below
"Temperature:
Baby/juvenile (<9 months): ambient 72-80F (22-26C), basking 82F (28C)
Adult males: ambient 75-80F (23-26C), basking 85-90F (29-32C)
Adult females: ambient 75-80F (23-26C), basking 80-85F (26-29C)"

Even with your ambient being a bit low he should be able to regulate if he has a good variety of temperatures to chose from.
You may want to shield his cage from the direct flow of the air conditioner to make him more comfortable. The AC can also steal humidity from his cage.
