Tadpole with a bubble?

Hi there, as well as our Leopard Geckos, and a Veiled Chameleon, my daughter brought home a tadpole from school at the end of term. After one week it is still alive and appears to be growing, but seems to have an air bubble inside so that it is floating on it's side and struggles to swim down to get to food that has sunk. I searched around and have done partial water changes and avoided food for a couple of days but the bubble is still there. It may be a bacterial infection. I also read about someone taking the tadpole out of the water so it ''burps' the bubble out but have not tried. Any ideas anyone? Otherwise, it seems healthy enough. :(

I have not an idea or a clue. I can burp a seahorse but a tadpole? that is going to be challenging. Good luck.

Every once in a while one of my dart frogs tads gets a bubble. Sometimes they die, and sometimes they morph out just fine. I can't tell you what it is though. I don't think I have ever heard a good explanation of what it is from the frog forums either.

Tadpole with a bubble

Thanks for your thoughts - I couldn't find anything else on the subject. He is still alive and tiny back legs are visible, so I am hoping he morphs ok. Fingers crossed.......
