Suspicious dust coming off branches

So melon (7mo old panther male) has been in his new large cage for a couple months now, I collected all the sticks locally from my yard and my parents yard, these sticks were too big to fit in my oven, so i just closely inspected them and sanded and cut them. But now alot of dust coming from my large foundation branches. Im worried its tiny bugs or something else. I do have an auto mister that causes alot of vibrations of course but nothing crazy. If it were termites id see them wouldnt I? Im including pics of my sticky traps next to the cage, the larger bugs are fungus gnats.
Ps these large branches are the foundation of my entire setup so removing one or all would mean completely starting over and i don’t wanna stress Melon like that, especially since he just settled in.

Were the branches dead when you collected them for the cage? What kind of branches are they…from trees or shrubs or what?
Can you post photos of them please? Do you see any little holes in the branches?
