Supplements after being sick

Hi can someone please advise for the correct supplementation for my recovering chameleon.
He is a panther chameleon, age 3 1/2 years old, I've had him since sept 14.
He is handled generally every day if he wants to come out and go on his free range and we usually have some excercise early evening, when my house is quieter.
My supplements have changed a great deal lately as he has not eaten for two months due to a vitamin A defeieicny, which he was receiving weekly multivit injections at the vet and having 1ml of critical care each day.
I also was giving him reptoboost each day and liquid calcium in his water.
I mist his cage twice a day and he drinks from a sports bottle.
His fecal ob has not been good lately as he has not been eating, it's been very jelly like.
He has a wooden tall viv, think its 3 1/2 foot vivexotic with extra vents I have put in it, he does spend a lot of time on his free range tree which has a compact uv bulb and heat lamp.
His basking,spot is 90 then 80 ambient, I use a 60 w bulb and a reptisun 5 in his cage.
I only use fake plants but manage to keep the humidity at around 60/70 most of the day.
What I need to know is as he is only eating around 10 insects a week, I am worried even if they are gut loaded and dusted is this enough vitamins, calcium etc getting into his system.
Should I contunue wih other methods like the reptoboost etc
I don't want to overdo on anything now.
Or should I just follow the recommended supplementation now
Calcium every feed, d3 every 2 weeks and vitamins every 2 weeks.
It's cold here at the moment so he is not getting to go outside to get nature sunlight, hopefully by the end of March it will be warmer

A vitamin A deficiency causing him not to eat for two months? I never heard of that one. Was he closing his eyes due to this and not eating? I am sure you had fecals done to test for parasites right???

Yes he was closing one of his eyes, that's what the vet said he had anyway, he had X-ray done and he couldn't find anything else wrong with him. He seems fine now, after his 4 injections and hasn't lost any weight.
The vet said it wouldn't be parasites, can you tell that from an X-ray?
Anyway I just need to know if I should up his supplements or just do the recommended doses, vet said ok to still give him reptoboost as he is not eating load, but since I've had him he has never eaten loads, only ever 2-3 insects in one go.

No, you cannot tell from an xray as far as I know You have to get a fecal done for that. I am surprised you have not had one. That may be part of the problem. There are some parasites that you can see moving under the skin, but most are found in the intestines to my knowledge and therefore that is why a fecal is done to determine this. I would definitely get one done, especially because you said his poop is so jelly like. They can have poop like that, but here and there. If anything, get one done to rule that out. If he is positive, then he will have to go on the proper med for that. I would atleast give him his calcium supplement. They also get a multivitamin, but I do not know what is in reptiboost so you don't want to overload on vitamins.
