Hi can someone please advise for the correct supplementation for my recovering chameleon.
He is a panther chameleon, age 3 1/2 years old, I've had him since sept 14.
He is handled generally every day if he wants to come out and go on his free range and we usually have some excercise early evening, when my house is quieter.
My supplements have changed a great deal lately as he has not eaten for two months due to a vitamin A defeieicny, which he was receiving weekly multivit injections at the vet and having 1ml of critical care each day.
I also was giving him reptoboost each day and liquid calcium in his water.
I mist his cage twice a day and he drinks from a sports bottle.
His fecal ob has not been good lately as he has not been eating, it's been very jelly like.
He has a wooden tall viv, think its 3 1/2 foot vivexotic with extra vents I have put in it, he does spend a lot of time on his free range tree which has a compact uv bulb and heat lamp.
His basking,spot is 90 then 80 ambient, I use a 60 w bulb and a reptisun 5 in his cage.
I only use fake plants but manage to keep the humidity at around 60/70 most of the day.
What I need to know is as he is only eating around 10 insects a week, I am worried even if they are gut loaded and dusted is this enough vitamins, calcium etc getting into his system.
Should I contunue wih other methods like the reptoboost etc
I don't want to overdo on anything now.
Or should I just follow the recommended supplementation now
Calcium every feed, d3 every 2 weeks and vitamins every 2 weeks.
It's cold here at the moment so he is not getting to go outside to get nature sunlight, hopefully by the end of March it will be warmer
