Superworm eating foam background!!

Supers will eat through many types of plastic, I saw a post of Supers eating through the screen of the chameleon cage with the feeding cup that puts the insects directly on the screen. My guess is unless the suers finds a better food source you will have company for your chameleon!

CHEERS!

This happened in our Beardie's enclosure at a point, but I was able to remove the supers and supervise feeding and then remove any uneaten. I was thinking how unhealthy it would be for our dragon to ingest feeders gutloaded with styrofoam. I have no idea how long a super can stay alive eating styrofoam....?? ?

Ok so I can 100% hear what I assume to be a superworm inside the foam background of my bioactive viv...anyone had experience with this? Will it eventually die? Or pupate then die? How worried should i be that it'll destroy my viv? My cham doesnt know how lucky he is to not be able to hear that awful crunching sound?

More likely it will pupate and live. Superworms are being used to help break down styrofoam.

Whether it's something to worry about... ?‍♂️

I've had superworms eat their way out of the plastic container I stored them in.

I'm totally cool with it pupating, as long as it comes OUT of the background at some point. There are so many other more delicious and nutritious things for it to eat in there too. Arg.
