Super worms or something else as staples?

Okay Ive been feeding crickets but they are annoying me i got used to the noises but the jumping out and running under the washer and not being found a day later. to tell you how annoyed i am by them is Ive counted and lose 1 everytime i feed him cause they jump out and run off. ANYWAYS my mom is mad about my cham that he has to eat crix so i told her about dubia but she doesnt want them i dont understand her logic anyhow she said it would be fine to feed something else and so im trying to find a worm or something i could use as a staple

Silkworms are a staple. Pretty much the rest I believe are only treats.

silkworms are the only other staple besides crix and dubias.

yes a member or two uses supers as a staple, but thats cuz their cham REFUSES to eat anything else. but it is not recommended.

If you are going to feed silks as a staple food, i suggest learning how to breed them, or you will go broke ordering them, and sometimes they are impossible to find.

i recommend you remove the word "staple" from your vocabulary
try to provide a varied diet, always. Aim for no single type of prey to form more than 20% of the diet, certainly not more than 50%.

Crickets are useful in a chameleons diet because you can gutload them easily and they are cheap - so consider keeping crickets as a part of the chameleons diet
If you bowl feed, you wont have the same cricket escapee issues, some people will also remove the wings from male crickets to remove any sound issues
Silkworms are totally inoffensive, can be gutloaded on a variety of things and are a good feeder choice.
dubia are a good choice also
terrestrial isopods are also good, gutloadable, and silent choices
indian walking sticks are pretty good, moderately gutload
butterworms are pretty good, moderately gutloadable

superworms are somewhat less good, but still alright in moderation, NOT a staple.
