Ha Ha! I was just looking at the one I made and watching the stupid crickets jump out of it! I thought the same thing that they would all go down into the neck of the bottle so I glued some screen over that part to and that is what they are using as a launch pad! I think I am going to remove the screen and then maybe crumple up some paper towels or something to put down into the neck so they can't go down there. If that doesn't work, I am going to cut the neck off and glue the screen on the outside of the bottle and that way the inside will stay smooth and hopefully they can't just jump out. The little brats!
I find crickets will tend to climb more, but all other worms/beetles/roaches just hang out in the bottom.
For those guys, I hang them on the screen, or hand feed.
Once your cham is used to finding the food in the feeding cup, less crickets get out, he will clean them out.
