Sunlight for Jacksons

I'm absolutely in love with Jackson chameleons and would like to get a pair. However, everywhere I read it says they have to have access to natural sunlight. I live in Scotland, which makes access to sunlight somewhat problematic.
So, I wanted to find out whether it's true, cause if it is, I probably should not get them.

Of course NAtural sunlight is always the best and great for them, but you should be able to keep and raise it under light fixtures with bulbs that produce uvb and heat.

On your bestest days of the year where the sky is nice and it isnt tooo hot, take them out.

Truthfully an hour or two of natural sunlight is all they really need. Many reptiles, dont just sit and bask in the sunlight all day. They usually bask when needed but then hang out in the cover of the brush.

I have a Jackson but I live in the opposite end of the UK to you, right down on the south coast! Most of the year he stays inside wiht a 5.0 UV bulb and a heat lamp with a basking temp of 83-85F but when its warmer he spends most of the day outside when I am not at work. If it is too hot I leave his cage in the shade. They can still get UV in the shade and on cloudy days as long as the temperature is warm enough for them to be out. My friend lives just outside London and she has my boy's mum and two sisters along with a J. Jacksonnii and she keeps them outside overnight in the summer too to get that night drop in temps. Unfortunately, my garden isn't secure enough to keep mine outside.
