hey guys, my ambilobe (just under 3 months) seems to get stressed out by me, i have only had him a week so im guessing he just needs more time to adjust?

most of the time when he sees me come into the room he runs for cover and quite often ends up changing from his general colours, greys, light greens etc to a dark brown and once or twice almost black :S

he doesnt eat or drink when im around, (but his poop is looking fine, brown with a white urate tip) i have only handled him once to take a couple of pics to put up here!

is he going to become more tolerant of me! or is he going to be a moody shite all the time lol :p

it takes time for him to adjust.
try to hand feed.
give him space, and dont freak him out, and it should get better.

he is definitely eating i have used a cotton bud tray stuck to the side to put his crix in so i can monitor his eating.

once or twice a day i try to tempt him to hand feed with a wax worm but no luck as yet! im sure he will come around! i just was a bit concerned!

i dont know of anywhere in the uk i can get hold of hornworms but ill keep trying with the wax worms!

fingers crossed!

im sure you know that waxworms are not a staple feeder, but i personally found thats what got my jackson chameleon to hand feed, that and rolliepollies but only one of those a week they can be high in metals

yer hes on crix as a staple, just something a little more appetising to tease him into hand feeding!
