Stressed?

My female was showing bright orange receptive colours a couple days ago so introduced my male. They both gaped and he lunged for her so I quickly broke it up and put them back in their separate cages. She has been really dark ever since looking like her gravid colours, could it be she is still stressed from the introduction?

She looks like she's gravid to me. Sometimes if i show a male to a gravid female she will hold the gravid colors for days even longer, but all females are different.

Sometimes she will show these colours for a while without actually being gravid, I don't know why. I'll have a check to see if I can feel any eggs tonight.
