Stopping crickets

How can I stop crickets laying eggs in my plant pots in the cage?

Cup or hand feed? if the cricket is not free range then it can't lay eggs in those places.

I am cup feeding but some get out and then get down in the pots

Remove the backlegs ,they won't get out.
