Still hungry?

So everyday i feed my cham only 8 crickets i dont know the size i think my parents ask for large at petsmart but they really arent that big but they do chirp but i leave the cup in there and my chameleon walks back down a few minutes later is he still hungry or what..? and i think the store he was at,they fed him free ranged so every now and then my chameleon is walking on the bottom of the cage...no he isnt female.
is this weird or normal

What kind, size and sex cham do you have? Do you know what sized crickets he/she was fed at the petstore & can the cham easily get to the crickets you are putting in the cup?

If the animal is less than about a year old, I'd feed it as much as it wants to eat daily. Once they reach adulthood one may need to reduce feeding, to prevent the animal from becoming overweight, but young, growing animals need a lot of food to support their growth, hence feeding as much as they want to eat is typically a good bet.
