Steamers for disinfecting your enclosure?

Hi wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a steam cleaner to disinfect a reptibreeze xl cage and excetra, thanks

I have this one and it works good. The thing about using a steamer is you have to move it very slowly to kill parasites like coccidia. I’m happy with this unit but don’t knock it over. I did that and to stopped working for good and I had to buy another.

Thanks I had the same question!! I’m battling coccidia currently and see it’s difficult to get rid of. I just bought a hand held steamer… I’m thinking I should upgrade.

That steamer looks awesome, saw a review of a gasket blowing and giving a guy 2cnd deg burns, you have any problems with your?

I haven’t had any problems except when I knocked one over and it stopped working. The hose comes out the top so you have to be careful not to do that.

If you read about steaming for coccidia you will find that the parasite need to be exposed to the stem for a period of time so you have to the wand very slowly.

Thanks I will do that! I’ve also been disinfecting with Chlorhexidine gluconate but from what I’ve read it’s veryyy difficult to get rid of.

Yeah Chlorhexidine won’t work against Coccidia. Feel free to message me if you want to discuss this.
