staying up past bedtime?

Kuzco's lights were turned off 3 hours ago and he's still climbing around.

Why?? There are no lights in his/my room to bother him.
 
I've had this happen but it was because my curtains were letting the street lights through onto his cage. So check your windows or maybe he's not tired yet?
 
Is it warm in the room? I noticed that the chameleon we are babysitting was up and around for a bit before the room temp finally dropped.
 
That would be fun to see. Night Chameleoning (new word there!) Gron seems to freeze wherever he is as soon as the lights go out. I have seen him in some really weird positions...
 
Lol ya!

Kuzco sleepwalks? a lot. I hear him rustling around. But he always does it when he was sleeping in a awkward position.

Haha, really? I never heard of that before, I wonder how many other chams shuffle around often at night? Mine just take root until lights on....
 
Yeah Lol. He wakes me up all the time bc I freak out thinkg "OMGSH! He's being eaten by a cricket!!" But he is just milling around, eyes closed, PJs on Lol.

But hopefully I wore him out today and he will sleep through the night:rolleyes:
 
Mine seem to stop and stay exactly in the same position they were in before the lights went out. I have started turning out cage lights and have a small lamp on for another 30 minutes.Now they will go down to there sleeping spots so I allways give them that 30 minutes after lights out with the lamp and they allways go to a sleeping location. I think it is more natural for them.

:D sounds fun, I'd love to see Rinty milling around at night lol. Ashleigh shuffles sometimes, but that's the norm for monitors as far as I know.......
 
leon has been staying up past his lights off too. we think he waits for 'dad' to get home, cause after dad comes through the door and checks on him after work, he goes to sleep.

That's too funny! There is no chance that's the reason, but it's cute :D
 
Could this work by turning off a basking lamp and leaving on the UVB for another 30 minutes? still giving him some light but letting the temp drop a bit before going to bed.

Haha sometimes I think that's why Kuzco is up. But it really was cuz nobody turned off his lights. :rolleyes:

Maybe. But wearing him out seemed to do the trick. Woke up in the same spot he went to sleep in:)
