Spikes Hornworm

I found this huge hornworm outside crawling in the grass and i knew spike would love it for lunch I dont give him hornworms often so he was a bit threatened by it at first until he realized how tasty it looked lol

thats good to give him hornworms; although, theres a problem. i'd hate to tell you but you shouldnt give wild hornworms. they eat tomato plants and become harmful :/

Tomato plants are toxic. It may not be an issue if it is a different species of hawkmoth, though.

Most (if not all) manduca eat toxic plants in the wild. May or may not affect your Cham.

Good to know its the first time i have ever fed him a wild one i never feed anything wild but i dont find them often around here.
