Specs for LED Plant Lights

We have this LED grow light from an old project that never came together. I'm trying to figure out if it is safe to use on top of my enclosure:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MKML17H/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_TEY1X2VRQ75ARJP2889V

Can anyone help me figure out if it could work?
Are there any types of led grow lights that are NOT good for chameleons?
Around what wattage would a light be too strong? Too much PPFD?

I tried comparing the specs to that Sansei everyone is into – the only thing I can figure is one is 700w and the other is 1000w.

Thanks :)

Let me guess....

IMO, it's a lot of overkill. It could work, but you may need shades within 10' or so. (kidding, but it is bright)

I'm not a fan of plant lights that consist of colored LEDs.
I have a 48Wx24Dx48H enclosure, and I use two 70W plant lights—these:

All-white LEDs.

That should be 70W vs. 1000W.

There are other options out there, but AFAIK, Sansi still has the most bang for the buck when you figure in the warranty, lifespan, lifetime costs, etc.

I can tell you that I've been running the Sansis for over a year now, and both the plants and chameleon (they help his colors pop) seem to love it—everyone is thriving.

@Klyde O'Scope Thank you for your feedback!!

The "old project" is much less exciting than what you're thinking ;)

I must've been confused by the Sansi description saying "700w equivalent". I could probably do with learning a bit more about the light spectrum, bulbs, and electricity in general.

It sounds like there isn't anything to be too concerned with as far as any of the LED light options being dangerous for a chameleon. The choice has to do with colored vs white LEDs and how much light is blasting in the room. (and warranty, lifespan, lifetime costs, etc.) Does that sound right?

I'll probably just go with the Sansi for now, but I'd still like to understand the science and know if there is anything that would be unsafe to use for this part of the setup.

Again, really appreciate you taking the time to answer my Qs!

Close enough.

I can't think of anything OTTOMH. I like white LEDS because if any DO happen to fail, you've still got the same temperature white light. If the light consists of various colored LEDs that 'average' white (or whatever) and you lose a few, suddenly your color temp is skewed. That may mean little/nothing, but with white LEDs it's a non-issue.
